Current Favourites!

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Well I hope! So today's post is somenthing that I haven't done for so long, and it is a current favourites. I don't usually do monthly favourites just because I don't really try that much products in order to have new favourites every month so I'm doing a current favourites which basically consists of all the products and things that I've been loving for the past few months.

Garnier Fructis - Shampoo and Conditioner
Sephora - Hand cream
Revlon - Body lotion

The first product is a shampoo and conditioner, from the brand Garnier, it's a very affordable brand I believe both of them is probably like 5-7 euros and to be honest from all the shampoos and all the conditioners that I've tried I find myself always going back to these two. I have dry hair but it can get oily at the roots and I see such a difference when I use this shampoo. It makes my hair very soft and fresh, and when I blow dry it and style it, it has an amazing feel to it. Sometimes right after taking a shower and blow dried my hair, at the roots it starts to have that greasy feeling which I hate and this shampoo does an amazing job at not doing that.

Second, I've also been really liking this hand cream by sephora it smells amazing, I used it pretty much throught the summer and it left my hands feeling lush since I have pretty dry hands, it also smells like mangos which is a total plus because it's one of my favourite scents (and fruit).

Lastly for this "body care" routine, I've also been really liking the Revlon body lotion. I don't really like to put on body lotion after taking a shower because it takes a long time specially if it is a thick lotion which in that case I will not be using it because I absolutely hate the feeling of sticky skin, and if you're like me you'll love this product because it is very light and you apply it in literally seconds.

Batiste - Dry Shampoo
Equivalenza - Perfume
Catrice - Concealer
Rimmel - Natural Bronzer

Now for the beauty part, I've been obsessed with this dry shampoo by batiste, it is really a life saver for those days that you wake up late and don't have time to take a shower and your hair is getting a little bit greasy, this will seriously leave your hair feeling fresh and smooth.

This next one is a perfume by Equivalenza which is a store that does "replicas" of some perfume brands, this one I can't really tell you what it is because it was a gift but it smells very flowery, fresh and a little bit sweet.

Now for makeup I've used pretty much this whole concealer by Catrice, it is very nice, it has an amazing coverage and a little bit goes a long way, the only down side is that you have to be quick while applying it because it dries quite fast.

Lastly is the Rimmel, Natural Bronzer. I've been using this product every day, it is very natural, it doesn't have a lot of shimmer I would say it's pretty matte on the skin.

Now for the last one it is a book that I'm pretty sure most of you book worms already read, and it is Girl on the train by Paula Hawkins. The one in the picture is the portuguese version and I absolutely loved it, I loved it so much I read it in 2/3 days ahah. I'm also really excited now to go see the movie on the cinema.

This is not really a current favourites because I haven't really tried them but I got them from a store online and I am in love, they're so gorgeous and fell like good quality so I decided to show them to you.

Thank you so much for reading, hope you liked this post, tell me in the comments your favourites at the moment and what you're most excited about Autumn.

Carrot and Cinnamon Cake Recipe!

Hello everyone, how are you all? First I'd like to apologize for not posting for a while, now I'm back with one of my favorite recipes for this season, which is the best season eveeer. Autumn is here, you can start layer your clothes, wear boots, chill days, hot chocolates, halloween and *whispers* christmas is only two months away...

This is a recipe perfect for this time of the year, joined with a hot cup of tea.

60 min, Easy

4 eggs
4 carrots
1 tea cup of sugar
2 teacups of plainflower
1/2 teacup of cooking oil
1 tea spoon of baking powder
1 tea spoon of cinnamon
Powdered sugar

Pre-heat the oven at 180º.
Peal the carrots and grate them. Separate the egg yolks and the egg whites into 2 seperate bowls. Stir the egg whites until a solid consistency, then add the sugar to the egg yolks mix the sugar and yolks until it's nice and smooth, then add the egg whites and beat everything together for a couple minutes for a smooth consistency.
Add to the mixture the cooking oil, little by little white beating everthing together.
Add in the cinnamon and the grated carrots to the mixture and stir everything together for 2-4 minutes.
Finally add in the flower and the baking powder.
Pour everything into a prepared baking tin (buttered tin with plain flower in my case), and put it in the oven for about 35 minutes.
Once cold, add some powdered sugar for some decoration and to add a little bit of extra sweetness.

Hope you liked this post, tell me if you've tried it or not and also tell me what's your favourite recipe to do in Autumn.

My Pamper Routine

Hello everyone how are you all doing? Well I hope. So for today's post I decided to show you what I like to do when I'm feeling a bit down or just simply want to relax a bit and take good care of myself for a couple hours, and that is a pamper session. I love to do this at least once a week, I think it's very important to take some hours out of your schedule to take care not only of your body but also your mind. Here are some pictures of what I like to do, and I'll talk you through all of them. Hope you like!

First of all I like to tidy up my room, light up some candles and turn on my fairy lights, this is a very importante step for me because I like the feeling of having my room all nice and tidy, and cozy with all the candles and fairy lights.
The candles that I'm using smell like vanilla and others like apple and cinnamon, which are my favorite scents.

And of course we can not miss a nice hot bubble bath, it's so relaxing to chill in the bath with a few candles, either reading or listening to your favorite tunes, whatever you feel like it.
In my bath I used some bath minerals and a bit of shower gel to create some bubbles. What is a bath without bubbles am I right?

Next I like to take a proper shower, because I can never feel 100% clean with a bath. I use my shampoo and conditioner and then a serum for the ends of my hair.
For my body/face I use my every day routine products, which are:

Dove - body lotion
NativaSpa - Handcream
Avéne - cleansing face gel

After all this I put on my onesie and go either watch a movie, or do whatever I'm feeling in that moment you can just do whatever it relaxes you, for example: read a book, eat or bake some cookies/cakes, do your makeup or watch tv, it's your time and you should do what makes you happy.

Alright, I hope you liked this post, and I'd love to know if you like to do this kind of pamper sessions, and what you do in yours, leave a comment below telling me, I'd love to hear from you, thank you so much for stopping by!

Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of sugar
  • 90 g of melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 200 g of wheat flour
  • 170 g of chocolate chips (I use a whole milk chocolate bar)

How to:

  • Preheat the oven to 175ºc.
  • Cut the chocolate bar into tiny little cubes.
  • Beat the butter, the sugar, the melted butter and the vanilla extract together until it's all blended.
  • Next, add to the mixture the milk, the flour and the chocolate.
  • Now, with a spoon take some of the mixture and pop onto a lined baking tray. Mind the space between them because they grow a little and spread.
  • Finally, pop them in the oven and let them cook for 15 min, until they are slightly golden and you can see a brown color appearing under the cookie.
  • I usually don't leave them until they're too golden cause they tend to get harder when you take them out of the oven, and I like them a bit more gooey.

Alright, I hoped you liked this little post, I decided to bring something different and it's a recipe that I've been using for quite some time so why not share with you. Let me know in the comments some of your suggestions or even if you are going to try this out. I would love to know, thank you so much I hope you have a lovely week.
