New start!

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Long time no see! As you can tell by the tittle I decided to jump back in this beautiful and wonderful world of blogging. 

As some of you know (and if you do, thank you from the bottom of my heart) I started blogging in 2013. It was one of the best things I've ever done and it made me feel amazing knowing I was persuing something that I loved (still do) and sharing my toughts and opinions with you. I've had some times where I stopped blogging for a while cause my life got busier with college or I didn't feel as if I was making a difference in here, really doubting my content and I tought I wasn't creating "cool", and fun blog posts for you to read. 

Now I'm at a place where I feel ok with just being myself like I've always been and sharing my opinions and my view on thing and hoppefully you like it and read it! 

If my advice for anyone who's trying to start blogging or even when I see someone on youtube I like to see the people for what they are, their personality, their flaws, their humor, that is what makes me want to keep following that person. Seeing how genuine and passionate they are. I don't think anyone can be "successful" by showing people "what they want to see" and putting up a different personality to be the "perfect person", that doesn't work and people catch up on that.

So I need to stop worring about "oh what difference do I make by posting this, I don't think people will want to read it..." and just post it becase it is me, I tought about it, I like it and maybe people will like it too! Of course some people will like it more than others but that's just life, we can never please everyone. That's humanly impossible, and it's totally ok. 

I'm not trying to make this blog post super long, just wanted to bring some positivity into my first post since I haven't posted in a while and it would feel weird just doing like "my favorite beauty products at the moment" kinda post. Maybe you can in the comments tell me if you've ever felt this way and tell me what are you most excited by summer 2017? I'm excited to go on vacation with my family and boyfriend to the North here in Portugal. It's one of my favorite places to go, I really feel at piece there and relaxed.

Summer vacation: Portugal, Tavira 2013

 Hello beauties, how are you? Well I hope. So, last week I went on a little trip with my family and we went to Tavira, Portugal which is 4 hours away from where I live (driving) and I decided to take lots of pictures to show you. 

This place is amazing if you want to really leave the city and relax for a few days. I stayed there for 5 days, relaxing, eating icecream, going to the beach, going for long walks on the shore, reading a book, wearing comfortable and light clothes, and just enjoying myself.

20 QUESTIONS TAG!

Hello beauties how are you all doing? I've been seeing this tag for quite a while now so I decided to do it myself. It is basically just 20 random questions and I'm answering them. You seem to really like this kind of tags so I do them. Enjoy!



1.Thing you cannot leave the house without?

Well this one is pretty obvious, I cannot leave my house without my iphone! 


2.Favorite brand of makeup?

Uh this is hard... I'm a drugstore girl because it's not only cheap but also as good as other fancy products so I really like maybelline.


3.Favorite Flowers?

My favorite flowers are daisies. So pretty. Uhhh, or sunflowers.



4.Fav clothing stores?

My favorite clothing stores are Primark, Bershka, Stradivarius, H&M...


5.Fav perfume?

My favorite perfume at the moment is Someday by Justin Bieber. It has that floral scent to it, perfect for Spring.


6.Heels or flats?

It really depends, but I am a flats person, it's so much comfortable. But I also like to wear heels for a night out, because it looks much dressier and it really suits our figure.


7.Do you make good grades?

Yes I think I make good grades, not strate A's but yes. Here, our grades go from 1-20 and my highest is 17 in English, and my lowest is 11 in Portuguese which is super weird because I'm Portuguese so I should be better at Portuguese but I'm not haha.


8.Fav colors?

My favorite colors are coral, mint, pink, peach...


9.Do you drink energy drinks?

Nope, I do not drink energy drinks but if I do drink one once in a while, I go for redbull.


10.Do you drink juice?

Yes I do. And I love to make my own juices/shakes with my blender. I mix some fruits, milk or yogurt and voila. Yum, yum, yum.


11.Do you like swimming?

I do not like to swim, I LOVE to swim. If I could I would spend my life underwater. Inclusive, when I was little my dream was to be a mermaid.


12.Do you eat fries with a fork?

Yes I do, I don' like the felling of the salt or the oil in my hands, so yeah.


13.Whats your fav moisturizer?

I really like one from Garnier or Phytomer.


14.Do you want to get married later on in life?

This is a hard question, because my answer is I don't know. I don't know what the future holds for me nor what my plans are. But probably, yes I'd like to get married one day, we'll see.


15.Do you get mad easily?

No, I don't get mad easily but if you cross the limit of my patience, I will get very mad and when I'm mad the last word has to be mine. But I can say that I'm a pretty calm person until someone pushes my buttons.


16.Are you into ghost hunting?

I won't say that I'm "into ghost hunting", but, ok this might sound crazy and you guys are probably going to think that I'm weird but I'd love to see a ghost one day if it actually exists. I do believe in ghosts, and spirits and all that (and if you don't I respect that 100%), but I also have my doubts because I've never seen one, so it would comprove it, you know what I mean?


17.Any phobias?

Uh yes... I have a phobia of pigeons and locusts. I hate them, just by looking at their photos I feel like crying. And I can tell you a little story about how I gained my phobia of pigeons. My cousin had this bird, he was really cute and one day I decided to take him out of it's cage, then he started flying everywhere, my mum closed the door of the kitchen so I had to get the bird myself and he was flying against my head and I was scared to death. After a couple of minutes of chasing the bird, I finally got the bird and put him back into it's cage. Since then I'm afraid of birds but especially pigeons and I have no idea why pigeons haha.


18.Do you bite your nails?

I used to, but no.


19.Have you ever had a near death experience?

No, I haven't. The closest thing to a death experience was when I was at a bus a few months ago and a man started hitting the driver and we almost had an accident because the driver kept driving and stopping the bus. It was so scary I started shaking like crazy and I never shake.


20.Do you drink coffee? 

Yes I do, but not regular coffee I like to add milk and drink it like that. Which is a latte basically. I'm boring.

Blog your heart out - tag

Hello beauties how are you? Today I decided to post something different from the previous posts, I'm doing a tag called "Blog your heart out". From the minute I saw this tag I knew I had to do it because not only you learn something knew about me but you can also learn something about blogging if you're new or just simply want to know a little bit about this amazing blogging world. Enjoy it!

Q. Who/What encouraged you to start blogging?

Who encouraged me to start blogging was myself. Of course I was inspired by other beauty bloggers/vloggers but if it wasn't for me pushing myself and getting out of my comfort zone I wouldn't be doing this. After years of watching videos on reading blogs I realized that I really wanted to be part of this wonderful community. I fell in love with makeup, fashion, with all the colors and looks you can create, it is such an amazing way to express yourself and it is something that makes me so happy. I put so much effort in all the things I do for my blog, and it is one of the things I'm most proud of :)

Q. How do you choose what topics to blog about?

I know the feeling of not knowing what to blog about and feel like you'll never have another idea and you'll be stuck forever like this, and usually that never happens. Inspiration is everywhere, just think of something that you really like and turn that into something interesting and unique. As for Beauty/Fashion bloggers it is easier to choose a topic because we have more options and specific topics but either way, you still have to turn those into something that will catch other people's attention.

Q. What is something most people don't know about you?

This is a hard one because I'm not really the kind of keeping a lot of stuff to myself, but I think it is probably my blog. Obviously my closest friends and family know about it and they support me one hundred percent but people at school and stuff don't really know about it.

Q. What three words describe your style?

Oh this one is easy, the best three words to describe my style is casual, girly (depends) and comfortable.

Q. What do you love to do when you are not blogging?

When I'm not blogging I like to hang out with my friends and laugh until my cheeks hurt, go to the cinema and eat popcorn, watch a movie, go for a walk, watch youtube videos, read other blogs, do my makeup, and I could keep going...

And that's about it, my last posts where all about fashion or makeup so I decided to make this one a little bit more informative to let you know a little bit more about me but also to give you some helpful information (I hope) when it comes to blogging. FASHION HAUL! Primark, Tally Weijl...

Hello beauties, how are you all doing? So as promised, I'm here with a Primark fashion haul woot woot. One of my most popular posts is my primark haul and the other day I decided to go there to do some "spring shopping" then I ended up buying a few things and  I thought why not share it with you! Hope you enjoy it.

So the first thing I'm gonna show you is this knitted top, I guess it's how you call it, and it is off shoulder. I thought it was super cute specially for this season to wear with floral skirts or even some plane skinny jeans. Love it.

Primark: 12 € (I believe)

Next is this super duper bright shirt. I love it, it is in hot pink and what better color to describe spring? 

Primark: 5 €

Now for my personal favorite... I can't even. I love this jacket so much. It is edgy, comfortable and just awesome. 

Primark: Originally 27 €, bought for 11 €

Aren't these so cute? When I saw them I knew I just had to buy them. So simple yet so adorable. And they go with pretty much everything.

Primark: 9 €

Then I bought this really feminine and big sunglasses. Great for those days when I wanna be more casual and do not wear any makeup. 

Primark: 1,50 €

These are the only pieces of jewelry that I bought. I have to admit that I am kind of obsessed over knuckle rings. So pruutty.

Primark: 3 €

I've been wanting a blazer and when I found this one I just had to buy it. It looks so cool, really makes a simple and casual outifit look much more formal and put together.

Primark: Originally 23 €, bought for 7 €

This dress in picture doesn't look as good as in person, or put on, but you'll see how I style it on my next post. I really like it, it's super flowy and light. Perfect for this season and I also love the floral pattern. I think this would look really cute with the beije knitted top that I've shown you earlier.

Primark: 5 €

This is not from Primark, I bought both this sweaters for 20 €, it was a pay one get two kind of deal, so yeah, I think they are so awesome, perfect for those days when you just want to be comfy.

Tally Weijl: 10 € each

Confessions of a blogger!

Hello everyone how are you all doing? Well I hope. I was tagged by Katie (thank you so much sweetie!) to do the confessions of a blogger tag. I thought it was a funny idea, and as you may know I love to do tags, so why not? Let's begin!



When did you start blogging?
After a year of debating myself, September 2013.

 

Have you had any other online presence before e.g. YouTube or a previous blog?

Nope, this is my first time but I've always wanted to do youtube videos. But as you may know I'm kind of shy so I thought this would be a great idea.

Why did you start your blog?

It was a very boring summer afternoon and I saw a picture on tumblr of this hairstyle called "french braid" and I really wanted to know how to do it. So I went on youtube and started investigating to see if I could find any videos explaining how to do it "aka hair tutorial". Once I saw the video I ran into the bathroom to try it myself and it actually came out really good. After that I started watching more and more videos, started subscribing to beauty gurus (the first one was actually thatsheart and she's still one of my favorites). I found myself buying makeup (back then I didn't use to wear a lot of makeup, mascara and lipgloss was enough for me haha). Then I realised that I loved what these girls were doing, sharing their opinion, tips, etc with the world and how much effort they put into their videos. I thought it was pretty amazing and I actually wanted to be one of them. So a year later of debating myself, here I am. Not that I consider myself as a "beauty guru" because I'm not, I'm far from it, I just want to share my opinion and interact with other people in this comunity.

 

When did you start becoming serious about blogging?

I don't think I have yet. I created my blog only 3 months ago, I post here because I want to and because I love to. No one is paying me or anything, so I don't think this is something "serious", it's just something that I do for fun, it's my hobby and I love it.

 

What was your first post?

My first post was an introduction to my blog, so people could see what this blog was about and to tella little bit about myself, etc.

 

Where do you see your blog in a year?

Hopefully my blog will be filled with, creative, with quality and well written posts. Since I started only 3 months ago I know that the quality, and the posts are not the best but hopefully, that is something that's going to change.

 

What is the best/most rewarding thing to you about blogging?

To me the most rewarding thing about blogging is knowing that the effort and time that I put on my posts is payed of by beautiful people who actually take some time of their days to read what I post. That is the beauty of blogging, sharing with people my thoughts and my boring stuff and people actually enjoy reading and take time to comment on my posts. I think that is amazing and it makes me so happy. 

 

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you/ has happened?

To be honest nothing has discouraged me from blogging. Everyone has been super amazing. I've been getting so many compliments and amazing feedback. Of course if someone says something less nice about my posts or content I will not be happy with it, but I won't be discouraged too, it's their opinion and if doing this makes me happy I think I shouldn't stop just because someone told me not to. Do what makes you happy, and don't care about other's opinion. Because at the end of the day we're the ones doing something productive and they are sitting behind a computer,judging.

What's your lasting blogging motivation/inspiration?

My blogging inspiration it has to be other bloggers/youtubers and when I see beauty and fashion related pictures on the internet/television..
